My mantra

During the earthquaking days of my discovery of my husband’s homosexuality, one thought kept going through my head:

If I’d been perfect, it still wouldn’t have been enough.

  1. Yeah, I can relate. No way was anything I did ever going to be good enough. In fact, the better I was at the role of wife, the worse the abuse. The more “woman” I acted, the more he disliked me. It was a recipe for misery and not one bit of it could I change.
